a) To act as a common platform in the State of Meghalaya to represent Golf Clubs to the. Indian Golf Union and to the State Government.To seek assistance from State Govt. to promote the game of Golf.
b) To encourage and maintain a high standard of Amateur and all forms of Golf in Meghalaya.
c) To ensure the implementation of directives issued by the Indian Golf Union from time to time for the promotion of golf and to attain the objectives of the Union.
d) To arrange and conduct coaching camps in Meghalaya in association with the Indian Golf Union ,setup and run Golf Academy,Organise and run tournaments.
e) To assist in maintaining uniform system of handicapping in Meghalaya in terms of the scheme approved by the Indian Golf Union.
f) To assist in the layout of new golf courses and upkeep of existing golf courses in Meghalaya.
g) To organize and conduct National ,Regional Amateur , Junior and all forms of Golf championships in the State of Meghalaya.
h) To undertake and implement programme for the promotion of junior Golf in Meghalaya.
i) To organize seminars on rules of Golf in Meghalaya to impart knowledge on various aspects of Golf.
j) To assist the existing and new Golf courses in upgradation and maintainance
k) To hold seminars for exchange of ideas and interaction among the members through panel discussions on various issues relating to the development of Golf.
l) To select the team for representing Meghalaya.
m) To seek affiliation to the State Olympic Association and work hand in hand with them for development of the game of Golf.
n) To maintain liaison with the Indian Golf Union and to undertake any lawful activities to achieve the above objectives for the cause of Golf in the State.
o) To recognize the Indian Golf Union as the parent organization and follow their guidelines relating to the Meghalaya Golf Promoters’ Society issued from time to time.
p) To promote Golf Tourism in the state of Meghalaya

• 20th June 2020 - HELP THE CADDIES OF SHILLONG GOLF COURSE CAMPAIGN" which was supported by the golfing fraternity of Shillong and a
gentleman from Delhi in midst of the COVID 19 pandemic wherein sponsorships were raised and given to all caddies of Shillong Golf course to sustain
their families
• Shillong Golf Festival in association with Golf Plus magazine,Incredible India (Ministry of Tourism) was held at Shillong Golf Course on 6th and 8th Nov

• MGPS Jr Golf Tour conducted on 20th and 27th March 2021 at Shillong Golf Course
• Online Putting competition was held on 16th May 2021 for the Juniors of Meghalaya.The event was held on google meet.

- Donated Machines worth Rs 2 lakhs to Shillong Golf Course during April 2022
- Spent a SIZEABLE amount for maintainance of Shillong Golf Course.(Accounts vetted and approved by Golf Captain)
- Contribution of Course usage fees to Shillong Club Ltd. amounting to Rs 232800/- during 2021 events (2 IGU main events.1 feeder tour event)
- Contributed Rs 25000 for Shillong Golf Course usage fees for Meghalaya Games in May 2022
- Spent an amount of Rs 54790/- on Shillong Golf Course maintainance during Meghalaya Games 2022
- Cash awards amounting to Rs 160,000/- were distributed to 15 Medal winners of 4th Meghalaya Games in 2022 in compliance with The Rules of
Amateur Status Golf. Details are in the communication received from Dept of Sports Affairs Section

- Sucessfully conducted Golf Discipline at North East Olympic Games 2022 from 10th to 13th Nov 2022 at Shillong Golf Course
- Mr Gaurav Bajaj (Mid Amateur) and Mr Jason K Passah participated in the Eastern Amateur Tour Championship 2022 on 7th and 8th Dec 2022 at
Tollygunj Club ,Kolkata.Results - Mr Gaurav Bajaj overall 10th and Mr Jason Passah overall 12th.Mr Gaurav Bajaj finished 4th in Mid Am category.
- Mr Gaurav Bajaj has been re-elected as member of Governing Council of Indian Golf Union at elections held in New Delhi on 24th Dec 2022.
- The following members represented the Meghalaya State Team for Golf at National Games ,New Delhi from 5th to 9th November 2023. The
Selection trials was held on 28th - 29th Sept 2023 and 4th -5th Oct 2023 for Pros and Amateurs Respectively at Shillong Golf Course.
